HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM PGM

Pi Gamma Mu is the oldest, the largest, and the most significant of the honor societies broadly concerned with the social sciences. Since its inception in 1924, it has initiated over 200,000 members. There are currently 170 active chapters located in universities and colleges throughout the United States and in the Philippines.

The purpose of Pi Gamma Mu is to foster excellence in the social sciences and to promote cooperation among them. Its primary objectives are to encourage the study of the social sciences among graduate and undergraduate students and faculty members throughout the world, and to recognize outstanding achievement through election to membership and the presentation of various awards for distinguished achievement. In addition, it provides support for its local chapters and assists its members to develop leadership skills.
