HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM PGM
Pi Gamma Mu is the oldest, the largest, and the
most significant of the honor societies broadly concerned with the social sciences.
Since its inception in 1924, it has initiated over 200,000 members. There are
currently 170 active chapters located in universities and colleges throughout
the United States and in the Philippines.
The purpose of Pi Gamma Mu is to foster excellence in the social sciences and
to promote cooperation among them. Its primary objectives are to encourage the
study of the social sciences among graduate and undergraduate students and faculty
members throughout the world, and to recognize outstanding achievement through
election to membership and the presentation of various awards for distinguished
achievement. In addition, it provides support for its local chapters and assists
its members to develop leadership skills.
