Welcome to the
Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student Organization (MEGSO)!
Howdy!
MEGSO is a student body that
represents the interests of the graduate students at the Department
of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A & M University, College
Station, TX.
MEGSO provides a forum for
communication between the graduate students and the department
administration. We are the voice of the ME Graduate students at the
Texas A&M Graduate Students Governmental body. We also promote
graduate students' awareness of various activities/events both
within the ME department and A&M.
MEGSO also plays a very important role
in the orientation of new graduate students in Mechanical
engineering through the weekly mentoring sessions. These mentoring
sessions serve as an informal forum for interaction between students
and help them resolve various difficulties faced during the initial
period of graduate school.
To further the graduate student
community interaction with professional world we organize speaker
meetings and industrial visits. Experts having diverse research
backgrounds, both from academia and industry are invited for the
speaker meetings. Industrial field visits organized by MEGSO help
graduate students network for their professional development.
We, the MEGSO Executive Committee for
the year 2006-2007 with the help of the ME Department administration
will strive to provide the ME graduate students with an enriching
and fulfilling graduate school experience. Please feel free to
contact me or any member of the MEGSO executive committee with your
suggestions or issues and we will give it our best shot.
Keep track of the Latest Announcements
