John 20:21

Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."

CityLights

Activities:
Includes construction, demo, and/or home repair, landscaping, painting, tutoring 1-6 grade children, re-settlement assistance for refugees, etc. There are opportunities to interview urban residents, 'mentors' and 'relocators', to study scripture on Biblical issues of justice and mercy, to worship,to explore the city and one's own presuppositions about it. Have fun in the city. Cry for it. Pray for it. Fall in love with it.

Ministry Site:
Primary ministry sites are in central western corridor of St Louis--West End, Hamilton Heights, and University City areas, as well as South City. May also work in refugee resettlement communities. The primary partnering church is a multi-ethnic congregation with nearly 30 nationalities worshipping together in 4+ languages.

Living Situation:
Students and staff live in community in dormitory style rooms in a very sparsely furnished former boarding school. They have access to a gym, soccer field, small urban park, (and a 7-11 for Big Gulps, slim jims & moon pies!) "Satellite" projects of 15-20 will live/serve in North & South City, joining the main group each evening for dinner, worship & teaching.

Project Cost:
For students joining aggieIV in this ministry, the cost is $300. This includes the $250 project cost, plus $50 for travel. We will be driving. Please do not let money be an issue. If you cannot afford the project cost, email iv@tamu.edu for some help.

How to Join:
