aggieIV is a campus ministry at Texas A&M University whose purpose is to become a multicultural witnessing community that follows Jesus as Savior and Lord. We're a branch of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA, an organization dedicated to the development of witnessing communities at colleges and universities. aggieIV welcomes not only Christians but all people who want to learn more of Christ. No matter where you're at in your life - from skeptics to followers - we invite all people to be part of our community.
groups investigating GodFor people who simply want to learn more about Christianity, we invite them to join one of our GIGs, or Groups Investigating God. These are made up of a few people (as little as two or three) who get together and have the opportunity to openly ask any questions they have about the Christian faith. Together the group will explore Jesus's answers to these questions. If you are interested in joining a GIG, please email us: iv@tamu.edu. bible studiesFor Christians looking for a group of people to study Scripture with, our Bible studies (or "small groups") offer an open forum for discussing God's Word with your peers. These groups typically meet once a week for about an hour. large groupEvery Thursday aggieIV holds what we call Large Group. Essentially, Large Group is a time of fellowship, worship, and praise. We catch up with each other, sing contemporary praise music, and listen to a guest or student speaker. Several times a year we devote a night completely to worship and prayer. Large Group is not limited to small group members alone - everyone is invited! prayer meetingsInterVarsity places a great deal of emphasis on the prayer. We partner with our sister fellowship on campus, Asian American InterVarsity, to meet for concentrated prayer for each other, for our campus, and for our world. rides to churchWant to go to church? Don't have a car? We're here to help! Email us at iv@tamu.edu and we'll try to pair you with one of our members that can offer you a ride to church. If you have a church or denomination preference, please include that in your email. how to joinThere is no formal initiation into aggieIV and anyone is welcome to attend any of our planned activities. Do as much or as little as you like. Email us and let us know what you're interested in - we'll get you plugged in. Or, just show up to any of our activities.
