History of the Beta Nu Chapter

Alpha Gamma Rho was organized in 1908 by the union of two prior societies - Alpha Gamma Rho, founded in 1904 at Ohio State University and Delta Rho Sigma, founded in 1906 at the University of Illinois. The founding purpose was to make better men and through them a broader and better agriculture. The Beta Nu Colony was founded at Texas A&M University in 1976.  The group received its charter in 1986 at the 49th National Convention in Kansas City, MO.  The colors of the fraternity are green and gold and the flower is the pink rose.
